The Dude Rezzie hinted at something amazing in the "New Encounters" section of his last post on Weird Magic. Jssst is a minimal techno freaker from Amsterdam. HisSoundcloud is full of (mostly) downloadable material. Jssst dives into the dark and brooding side of trance-inducing dance music, drugging the listener/dancer with deep mechanical bludgeonings on repeat. Hard to place exactly what my favorite jams are here, sort of like it's hard to choose a favorite Raga from Charanjit Singh's Ten Ragas To a Disco Beat -- Jssst's cuts are all so euphoric and uplifting it's hard to care about one stopping when there's another right behind it. Educated as an 'Econometrician and Operational Researcher', I decided to follow my heart. Music is the answer! (I really gotta change this bio story, but i'm 2 lazy:) At the age of 12, I heard house music for the first time and fell in love with it. Will change my bio!!!
I started, with an improvised recorder, makin g my first mix tapes. I f@cking h8 all that standard BIO's from Wanna b DJs. At the age of 18, I discovered Rock Music, Singer/Songwriter Stuff, Hip-Hop, METAL, DnB:) and what not.. When I was twenty , I bought my first turn tables (Old Skool;) to DJ and played Electronic Music!!! Hell, Yeah! Due to the fact that I couldn't express my self by only DJing, I started painting and I chose to learn playing the guitar. The positive experience from this made me curious to learn playing the piano, as well. And the girlz;-) My experience w ith music led me in the end to combine the factors, producing my own Electronic Music and spinnin' the tunes I loved, love and will love. Nowadays, my style can be characterized by Minimal, Techno and El3ctro.
But all with an Experimental edge to make it Jssst different... En joy! Bi g up! Peace:-)
